Shakewell Wedding Cinema & Studios

We did a destination wedding coming from Utah. I thought I had everything planned so perfectly but as usual it was hectic! The team from Shakewell went ABOVE and BEYOND to make this the day of my daughters dreams. Their patience and professionalism really shows! We were like headless chickens running around and they made sure everything was caught on film that we missed in our blur. They were drug around on the beach, in the cold and wind and simply did whatever it took to capture the moments we so wanted to keep. I found Jesse in looking for photography in San Francisco. To be honest...I was unaware of videography. I ended up bringing a photographer(friend) from Utah and hiring Jesse/Randy for the video. GREAT DECISION!! I kept going back and watching Jessies wedding videos and I admired his art to the extent I decided to take up videography in Utah. None of the work I have seen local here can hold a candle to his! Just about anyone can take some video and put it to music, but the way he creates his film is unique. He has a degree in film making and it shows! I can only hope to make videos of the quality he produces someday. Yes, videography is pricey. With the cost of the flights, lodging(and on and on) I just about decided not to do the video. The film he has captured of our journey to San Francisco and will remind us forever of the wedding AND the beautiful city by the bay! Jesse and Randy are worth every penny!

To anyone remotely considering Shakewell Studios, I hope our remarkable experience with them pushes you over the edge! I spend countless hours searching for the "perfect" videographer, someone who had style, mad-creativity, who we would be comfortable with and a uniqueness all his own. We found all of that and more with Jesse Garrison & Shakewell Studios. (I know 5 stars in everything seems a little over the top, but trust me they really nailed it.) I actually never had the pleasure of meeting Jesse as we planned our wedding remotely, but he fit right in immediately! His team was prompt, thorough, respectful of the events, and thoughtful in setting us extra shots, (which we ended up LOVING!) My husband and I along with our family and friends very much enjoyed our wedding video. We got the highlight as well as the 60+ minute version and have been so pleased with both. He captured all of the details I had spent hours planning and ensured they made it into the film. We could literally not have picked a better videographer to capture our "once in a lifetime" day! Look no further, you have found your wedding videographer! Jesse and his team did an amazing job capturing our wedding day, beginning to end. Right from the start, Jesse was communicative, thorough and incredibly responsive. Just a great guy all around, friendly and so easy to talk to. When I emailed with questions, he responded so quickly - which is priceless when you are in the midst of wedding planning. On the day of, the team was so fluid and enjoyable - a great addition to the wedding. They didn't miss a beat, and made us feel comfortable. They are truly passionate about making wedding days special, it shows in their work and in their demeanor. Jesse had great ideas along the way to help spur our creativity and style, and was happy to give us needed advice on other aspects of our wedding - he's seen it all, so his advice is spot on! When we received the final product, our expectations were far exceeded. Every detail was taken into account. Not only the video, but also the packaging. Beautifully done. Truly, second to none! It was a pleasure working with Jesse, we cannot thank him enough.

I Googled bay area wedding videography and found Shakewell studios online. Made an appt. and met with Jesse. He is super friendly. He showed us many samples of his past work. I love'em all. I've seen many samples from other videographers and it's kind of shaky at times. That is one major thing I didn't want for my own video. Jesse's videos were still and captured all the right moments. We received our wedding video and highlight video a few weeks ago and can't believe how clear and still our video was. He picked all the songs for our video and it went perfectly with our video. I swear... I watched our highlight video 50 plus times now and still get emotional each time reliving our special day. He captured and used all the right moments for our video. THANKS JESSE!!! 10 STARS!!!!!

Not only was Jesse professional and easy to work with, but he put together the coolest artifact from the wedding - an expertly edited music video. I work in digital media, so I know quality when I see it. I've already recommended him to all my friends/family.

All the smiles, tears, laughs, words, dance moves would have been blurry memories if it wasn't for that last minute decision we made: to hire Shakewell Studios. Why Shakewell? - They are super creative! You will get more than the "pose, kiss, look at each other, entrance, "I do", first dance, cake cut" video. You will get a MASTERPIECE! - If you don't know the music you want, they will come up with a playlist you will want to listen to over and over again. -I would not believe they were at our wedding if it was not for the video. -They know email etiquette and they are very prompt in their responses. -They go way beyond expectations to create a unique video that reflects who you are. -They have many options to offer but ,if you can, get the cinematographic and you will have a movie than could win (at least) one Oscar. -They are NOT a mass production studio. They take their time to make sure every single thing is PERFECT and at the end... it is! -You will watch your video so many times you will start thinking you are narcissistic. -If you think what you are getting is *only* a video masterpiece, you will be surprised when you get your DVD on your mail - to die for! -The final result is so awesome you will spend many hours thinking about another excuse to hire them... Shakewell Studios are the best! To Professionalism, budget, on time and very efficient Videographers! We were so happy to have Jesse and his brother be a part of our wedding, that happened last April of this year. At first I was debating and researching if we should have gone with a videographer, looking at all the prices it was way too expensive, but then I came accross Shakewell Studios and their prices were very reasonable. I contacted Jesse, he returned back to my email pretty quick, which was I think Jan-Feb 2010. A year flew by and my mother in law really wanted us to have a wedding video. So I emailed Jesse, and luckily had still had the date open. We were very fortunate that he was very accommodable and very prompt at everything. Jesse is a very well organized/ professional videographer, he had a list for us to fill out, so his team would know what to do at the day of the wedding. They all made the wedding party feel very comfortable and not nervous. We recieved our video very quick, I was surprised how great it turned out! I would highly recommend Jesse and his team to any event! Thank you!

There are not enough words to describe how amazing Jesse is! He is professional from day 1 till you get all of your DVD's! he's just great! He communicated with us the whole time about everything we needed. Did a great job capturing everything, was patient and understanding about everything we needed... very affordable and wonderful quality work! our video came out amazing and he has such FAST delivery after!! Jesse is amazing and I would recommend him to ANYbody who needs a special event recorded to last forever! :)

The wedding process can be time consuming, difficult, and very frustrating... luckily we had Jesse & Shakewell! They were amazingly helpful and professional, even when we were frazzled and completely unhelpful. the final product was fantastic and will be a lasting and beautiful memory!!

When I told my daughter that this would be a gift from me to them, her fiance 'freaked' and said: "Absolutely No Video ! ",-- that they had a Photographer, and he didn't want his wedding Video taped [as he'd had a bad impressions with Videographers @ other weddings he attended]... Video taping my daughters wedding was very important to me,and I think Jesse sensed this, and he patiently held the day open for us,[while my daughter talked her fiance into the importance of doing it.] Through all of this 'drama', and me carrying the deposit around in my car,ready to mail to him!]...Jesse was calm,and supportive,and, amazingly, still held this date open for us. During the ceremony, he was so, Professional and....we were hardly aware of his presence, and yet when we watched the Video, everything was captured... Jesse is a real 'Pro', definitely knows what he is doing, and was so affordable for us. When we watched the Wedding Video this past Saturday night, we all cried, & laughed [esp.the 'best mans' toast' [more like a 'Roast' [!]]... and realized what a complete, irreplaceable video this is for our family. Jesse even 'Express Mail' copies to L.A. [where my daughter & son in -law live], for a 'post wedding party' this past weekend-[a party for those who could not come to San Francisco for the wedding]--- so everyone could see how beautiful it. was... And get this !!... Instead of mailing our copies to my husband & I, Jesse personally delivered the extra video's I'd ordered to our home himself, so we could watch the Wedding Video the same weekend as my daughter & son in-law were watching theirs.......I wish Yelp had a hundred more 'stars' to give,... as Jesse would get them all !! Jesse is such a talent, and a true professional. Definitely emphasizes quality, but also has a relaxed, laid back, and flexible demeanor that makes him a pleasure to work with. He and his assistant, Mike, were totally on their A game during our wedding on Saturday. He was timely, worked well with our photographer (they hadn't worked together before), and was constantly looking for good shots and good videography opportunities, while also remaining out of the way. Pricing was reasonable, and he was amenable to our many inquiries earlier on in the signing process as we had lots of concerns about our contract, which he addressed without much hassle. I would totally recommend them for East Bay/ Berkeley area weddings!
